General Rules

IMPORTANT

  • 50$ for late fee inspection after 1pm

  • Rules are for everyone
  • No Roll cages will be prohibited.

The decisions of the judges and officials are final and irrevocable. Sportsmanship and courtesy, our goal is to give a good show.

  • A1 All drivers who are inebriated or under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be disqualified.
  • A2 The drivers must be 18 years of age. We accept drivers who are 16 years of age with proof of Medicare Card and with signature of a parent or legal guardian.

During a Heat

  • A3 And approved security helmet is obligatory during the whole heat. If your car does not have a windshield, its mandatory to have a helmet with visor during the heat, if not you will be disqualified. All drivers must wear a long sleeve shirt and long pants.
  • A4 If your car catches fire, the race will stop and the firefighters will extinguish the fire. If after the heat continues and your car catches fire for the second time, you will be automatically disqualified. If there is a leak in your gas tank, you will be disqualified. If the driver’s seat gives away after impact, you will be disqualified. A functional security seat belt is obligatory.
  • A5 If you hit the driver’s door of another vehicule, made obvious in which you did not try to avoid you will be automatically disqualified.
  • A6 You have a maximum of 1 minute to hit another vehicule. If your vehicle is stopped you have 2 minutes to restart and hit another vehicle.
  • A7 A vehicle judged too damaged and dangerous for the security of its driver, could possibly be disqualified by the officials. The driver who is the last to hit another vehicle, not disqualified will be the winner.

4-6-8 cylinder stroke

Mandatory

  • B1 Remove all accessories of the vehicle (chrome, mirrors, door handles, moldings, antenna, windows, head and tail lights) the back seat must be removed and the interior of the vehicle must be cleaned of all accessories and debris.
  • B2 You must cut 2 holes of 15 inches in diameter minimum, in the hood. This facilitates the work for the firefighters in case of an emergency.
  • B3 All doors must be chains with a maximum of per door. Only the driver’s door may be welded and must be protected by metal reinforcements or pire of approximately 3 inches, attached with four bolts (minimum of half inch in diameter) place reinforcement about a foot in the fender crossing the drivers door to about a foot in the back door.

  • B4 The front doors on either side of the vehicle must be free of any inscriptions. The doors are reserved for the number of your vehicle this being said, the number must be minimum of 24 inches high. The Windshield must not be obstructed by any logo advertising.
  • B5 The drivers’ seat must be in good condition and must be reinforced from behind with a post attached to the floor by two bolts and must supass the roof by a maximum of one foot.
  • B6 You are allowed a maximum 15 liters of gas in your reservoir.
  • B7 No oversized tires. Studded tires will be refused. The tire weights must be removed interior and exterior of all wheels.
  • B8 For environmental reasons, replace the antifreeze from the radiator with water.
  • B9 Air bags must be removed or must remain intact, never cut the air bags.

Allowed

  • B10 You can move the fuel tank inside the vehicle in the place of the back seat only. The tank must be attached extremely solid and must not be able to move.
  • B11 You can replace the original gas tank with another approved tank (boat tank, snowmobile tank) you must have an adequate stopper. No leaks will be tolerated. No extra reserve of fuel allowed. You must remove original gas tank.

Not Allowed

  • B13 The radiator and its reserve reservoir cannot be relocated but can be removed completely.
  • B14 It is forbidden to install a transmission oil cooler in the interior.
  • B15 It is forbidden to reinforce the vehicle in any way other than what was mentioned above.
  • B16 No bolts can surpass further than two inches from the sides of the vehicle. Furthermore, the hood and trunk of the vehicle cannot surpass more than six inches.
  • B17 The vehicle cannot be reinforced with metal (the frame of the vehicle cannot be welded or reinforced, trailer hitch and reinforcements of any kind must be removed).
  • B18 Perforated metal straps cannot be used to attach you battery and/or gas tank.

Preparation for Pick-up and mini Pick-up

  • C1 All rules for the modified apply
  • C2 Absolutely no roll cage.
  • C3 It is mandatory to attach the box to the frame with reinforced metal. This should be fixed in the box about a foot from the cab to about a foot from the tail gate with six bolts. Furthermore, close in all ends to form a rectangle. No cross bars.
  • C4 Mandatory to have a tail gate. Mandatory to connect the box to the tail gate with a minimum of 2 iron angles fixed with four bolts of half-inch. Suburban style pick-ups, it’s mandatory to chain rear doors to roof.
  • C5 All doors must be chained with a maximum of 2 chains per doors. Only the drivers’ door may be welded and must be protected by metal reinforcements or pipe of approximately three inches, attached with four bolts (minimum of half inch in diameter) place reinforcement about one foot in the fender crossing the drivers’ door to about a foot in the box.

  • C6 The bumpers have to be original, they may be welded to the frame but cannot be reinforced.
  • C7 4x4’s are accepted under the condition that the front axle is inoperative.

Preparations for Van and Mini-Van

  • D1 All rules apply.
  • D2 All doors must be chained with a maximum of 2 chains per door. Only the drivers’ door may be welded and must be protected by metal reinforcements or pipe of approximately three inches attached with four bolts (minimum of half inch in diameter) place reinforcement about one foot in the fender crossing the drivers’ door to about a foot on the side of the van.
  • D3 Mandatory to have large openings on either side of the vehicle and at the rear the size of a window for visibility.
  • D4 Mandatory to chain all doors to the roof except for driver and front passenger.
  • D5 Mandatory to keep the hood.
